| Fuchsstädter Mühle |
![]() You can find a memorial stone here which tells that the mill was official built up in 1759. During and in the years after the Second World War the mill broke down. The ancient water mill was bought by my dad in 1976 and he restauret the mill from 1976-1982. During the restauration most of the wood framework (inside and outside) could been secured. However broke down the middle roof part of the old U-yard. Also the old barn broke down and was built up completly new. In former times the mill´s creek ran through the mill. Now the old mills room is integrated in the living rooms. You also can find two old mill stones one as coach table and the other as a flower pot. There is still a buckle in the ground where the former breek run was. Now the creek, called Sauerquellenbach, runs behind the mill, a bridge behind the house makes it possible to cross the creek. The Sauerquellenbach comes from the Ellertshäuser See, the hugest lake in Unterfranken having 33 hectare water surface area. The creek runs into the Geilßer near Wettringen and this creek runs into the Lauer near Stadtlauringen, which runs in the Saale and this one into the Main. The mill is coined by the 30 years horse keeping. We were active in sports horse breeding and in horse sports (show jumping). We gained much success in jumping and military competitions to top high class. Self bred horses also were riden in high class dressage competitions.
Sinde 2004 we are now breeding the extraordinary Breeds of Miniature Shetland Ponies and Miniature Appaloosa Ponies. We also have a small horse livery. |
